Just Northwest of Sechelt's city center; The Sunshine Coast Skating Club ("SCSC") has been skating out of the Sechelt Arena since 1985. In March 2008 the SCSC was very excited to be running one Club out of two arenas when the Gibsons Area Community Center opened. The Club is proud to be able to offer programming conveniently accessible for every community and all residents of the Sunshine Coast.

The Club has grown from a small recreational club to one that has Nationally Certified Coaches, offers a comparable Spring & Summer School Program and recently implemented a very successful Excel Skating & Performance Academy due in large part to the excellent group coaching staff and the hard working executive.

The Club offers lessons/programs from Canskate (Learn-To-Skate) to StarSkate Competitive level during the Fall/Winter, Spring, and Summer seasons. Our CanPower programs are always full and in high demand with young hockey enthusiasts. Team Days, Halloween Bring-A-Friend, Meet Santa Skate, are just some of the Club/Team building events skaters can enjoy throughout the season.
